Well, here we are to talk about an album which is a sampler from a Slovakian cassette label specialised with an incredible, excellent style of bedroom lofi pop. Think about The Jam, The Undertones, The Vibrators punkpop inclinations, alongside the noisy, lofi, tenderness of nowadays' bedroom scene. Then, the production is perfect, noisy, sensible, delicate and generally speaking, excellent. Here we have a solid collection of a perfect mood that could speak to some people, and that is definitively talking to me. The Pastels could be cited as a direct ancestor of these incredible right-sounding bands.
It's time to take me seriously. If you ever liked pop punk anthems like "teenage kicks" from the late 70's, if you like the "UK Pop" compilation series from Rhino, don't hesitate a minute and jump in in the van! The music is just perfect, incredible, I think I'm going to listen to this compilation again and again...
I would suggest strongly to give a listen to this perfect release, very coherent and strongly built, just in case you love the lofi sound and all these crazy people looking for the perfect pop song in a rock mood, like did the Velvet Underground 50 years ago. Don't forget to share, help and participate to the story of this very good label, which is for me my best discovery of 2021 so far.
Please note that this, definitively, interesting label is making an effort toward the audience at large, being available on such or such big video media platform, which can be useful to initiate your friends to the excellence of pop.
